ZAC SUMMERS

What started as a desire to post one video about one catfish in his fish tank quickly turned into a passion for being in front of a camera, creating videos and showcasing his fish keeping hobby on YouTube under the channel, SC Fish Keeping. Often asked what the “SC” stands for, the initials were only meant to be place holders until he could think of a better name. Now “SCFK” is tattooed on his hand and the place holder name is here to stay. Since starting his channel, Zac has been fortunate enough to showcase many different aspects of the fish keeping hobby. From keeping native North American and fishing for his own pets, to exploring the impact fish tanks can have on veterans and those struggling with PTSD. Zac prides himself on making videos that are entertaining, unique, and occasionally funny with some educational aspects mixed in.
Outside of the fish keeping world, Zac has three children Adalyn, Gabrielle and Wesley and is supported by his oh so patient wife, Amanda. He enjoys being a stay-at-home dad, thrifting, coaching his daughter’s soccer team and spending time with his family.
Zac’s son Wesley was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect before birth and had open heart surgery at only 8 days old. He battled through the surgery and is the definition of a warrior. Fast forward to the age of 18 months Wesley was diagnosed with level 3 autism. Family and focusing on his son caused SC Fish Keeping to be put on the back burner and lead to a year and a half long break. With Wesley now three years old and a desire to start making videos again, Zac took this challenge as an opportunity to honor his son’s fight by throwing on some boxing gloves. and getting into the ring himself!
